Share space clearly

If a station appears unused, ask whether someone is still using it. Keep walkways, exits and access to equipment clear. Set your belongings in the designated storage area. During busy periods, avoid claiming several stations at once.

Return equipment

Put dumbbells, plates and accessories back where they belong, following the gym’s rules. If equipment is too heavy or awkward to move safely, ask staff. Leave a machine in a neutral state and wipe contact surfaces with the products supplied.

Respect privacy

Do not photograph or film other people without permission. Even a personal recording can capture someone in a mirror. Check the gym’s filming policy and choose an angle that respects other visitors. Headphones and a reasonable volume also help keep the space comfortable.

Speak up when needed

Ask staff if a piece of equipment seems loose, damaged or confusing. If another person makes you uncomfortable, you can ask staff for help. Courtesy does not mean accepting unsafe or intrusive behaviour. A shared gym should be a place where beginners can ask questions.
