Check before packing

Ask the hotel what equipment is available, when the gym opens and whether access is included. Photographs may show facilities that are temporarily closed. If you need specific equipment, confirm it directly rather than relying on a general facilities label.

Plan for the destination

Search for nearby gyms only if you expect to use them. Ask about day passes, identification requirements and payment methods. A routine that fits your itinerary is more realistic than a perfect plan that depends on a long daily detour.

Keep portable gear purposeful

Only pack accessories you know how to use. Check airline baggage rules and the item’s instructions. Resistance bands need a suitable setup and should not be attached to hotel fittings without permission and an appropriate approved anchor.

Record a flexible plan

Write down the places and times you can use, with a backup if a facility is closed. Keep the trip’s main purpose in view. If you need to adapt a personal programme around travel, ask your trainer rather than treating every unfamiliar gym as interchangeable.
